Sign inside the box
Use your normal handwriting. The checkerboard shows the transparent background.
Download: transparent PNG with a small safety margin around the visible signature.
How to Draw a Handwritten Signature Online
- Sign inside the canvas. Use the same natural movement you normally use on paper.
- Adjust the pen if needed. Choose a readable color and a stroke width that stays clear at smaller sizes.
- Use Undo or Redo to refine the result. Clear the canvas only when you want to start over completely.
- Download the PNG. The tool trims excessive transparent space while keeping a small safety margin around the signature.
Tips for a Clean Handwritten Signature
- Sign at a natural pace. Tracing every curve slowly can make handwriting look shakier.
- Avoid extremely thin strokes if the image will later be resized or compressed.
- Keep the first letter, final stroke, dots, and underlines away from the edge of the canvas.
- If signing with a finger feels awkward, a stylus or trackpad may give you more control.
Why the Signature Download Is Auto-Cropped
Large transparent margins can make a signature look tiny when a portal resizes the whole image. The download removes excessive empty space and keeps a small safety margin around the visible strokes, giving you a cleaner source for documents and later resizing.
Auto-cropping does not replace exact sizing. If a form requires specific dimensions or a strict KB limit, prepare the downloaded file for those requirements separately.
Download a Transparent PNG Signature
PNG keeps the area around your handwriting transparent, which is useful when placing the signature over a document. Some application portals accept only JPG/JPEG or require a white background, so follow the destination's file-format instructions.
Need Exact Pixels or File Size?
Use the Signature Resizer for exact dimensions, background changes, or KB limits. If you only need to verify a finished file, the Signature Size Checker can check pixels, file size, format, and aspect ratio without editing it.
Draw or Type Your Signature?
Drawing is the better choice when you need your normal handwritten signature. If the workflow clearly accepts a typed signature, you can instead create a signature by typing your name and compare multiple styles.

Draw Signature Online FAQs
How do I draw a signature online?
Sign inside the drawing area with your mouse, trackpad, finger, or stylus. Adjust the pen if needed, use Undo or Redo to correct a stroke, and download the finished signature as a PNG.
Can I draw my signature on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The drawing canvas supports touch input, so you can sign with a finger or stylus on a phone or tablet as well as with a mouse or trackpad on desktop.
Is the downloaded handwritten signature transparent?
Yes. The download is a transparent PNG, so there is no white rectangle around the handwriting.
Why is blank space removed from the downloaded signature?
The tool automatically trims excessive transparent space while keeping a small safety margin. This gives you a cleaner source image and helps prevent the signature from looking unnecessarily small when it is placed in a document.
Can I resize the signature to exact pixels or KB after drawing it?
Yes. Download the clean PNG first, then use the Signature Resizer when a form requires exact dimensions, a different background, another format, or a specific file-size limit.
Is my drawn signature uploaded or stored by LevoTools?
No. Drawing and PNG generation happen in your browser; the signature image is not uploaded to LevoTools just to create the download.
